1. About Babyloop

Babyloop is an online classifieds marketplace for second-hand baby and kids items in South Africa. We provide a platform for private sellers and business sellers to list items, and for buyers to find them. Babyloop is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Babyloop. By creating an account you confirm you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements under South African law.

3. Listings

All listings are reviewed by our team before going live. You agree that your listings will:

  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Relate to genuine baby or kids items
  • Not include prohibited items (illegal goods, weapons, adult content)
  • Not duplicate existing listings you have posted
  • Be removed promptly when the item is sold

Babyloop reserves the right to remove any listing at any time without notice.

4. Transactions

All transactions are directly between the buyer and seller. Babyloop is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any item listed on the platform. We strongly recommend following our safety tips — meeting in public, inspecting before paying, and using tracked couriers.

5. Payments for platform features

Paid features (Featured Listings, Bump to Top, Verified Seller Badge, Business Account) are processed via PayFast. All payments are in South African Rand (ZAR). Features activate automatically after successful payment confirmation. Refunds are not available once a feature has been activated.

6. Verified Seller

The Verified Seller badge indicates that Babyloop has verified the seller's identity documents. It does not constitute an endorsement of the seller's listings or guarantee of transaction safety.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not use Babyloop to: post false or fraudulent listings, harass other users, attempt to circumvent our review process, scrape or copy our platform, or engage in any conduct that violates South African law including the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babyloop and its directors, employees and agents are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including losses resulting from transactions with other users.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Babyloop after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
